Y Magazine of Oman

Y Magazine’ s Kate Ginn rang me last week regarding the book and after a chat asked for photos. I of course expected a short piece with a photo or two. So it was fantastic to open up Y Magazine this morning and see a really fantastic double page spread about the book. You can read it here http://www.y-oman.com/2013/03/heritage-hunter/  (thanks Kate)

Chris Fisher of Oman’s Merge FM

Chris Fisher of Merge FM 104.8 invited me into his studio for a chat about the book ‘ Walking Through History’. How he manages to juggle all the controls at his desk and interview people I dont know; but thats what being a professional is all about.

Arab Horses in Oman

One of my favourite images are of Oman’s Arab Horses decked out in traditional silver.  Marco Polo wrote about them in his book ‘The Travels’ -  “and the merchants take a great number of Arab horses to that market” (of India from Al Balid).

Book signing in Sohar

Penny’s Cafe in Sohar was a great venue for our book signing. We arrived after a drive from Muscat and enjoyed not only Penny’s fantastic cakes – but afterwards a dinner in the Butterfly Hotel near the beach.
