Sea and Sun in Musandam

Waking early enabled me to enjoy sunrise over Musandam as we entered Khasab on the Clipper Odyssey. It was a treat to visit the forts of Bukha and Khasab both of which have dramatic mountainous backdrops as they look out to sea.

Dust Storms in Oman occasionally come from the north, either Iran or Pakistan moving over The Gulf and into Oman.

Our arrival into Musandam Oman was in bright and sunny weather, making the sea voyage on our two Dhows especially enjoyable. Lunch on board was of course freshly caught fish.

Our Turtle has stopped Transmitting in Oman

I enjoy watching turtles on the Beaches of Oman so much that, last year, decided to ‘adopt’ one. The Turtle chosen ‘Havda’ was tracked as she swam up up to the Straights of Hormuz. Unfortunately the transmitter has stopped its signal – so we will miss her future travels
