Oman Tour Guide meeting

Oman’s Ministry of Tourism organised a workshop for tour guides in Oman that we enjoyed attending. The topics were many ranging from Oman’s facilities for tourists to other country’s experiences.

Later in the week  it was a pleasure to show a couple of guests on a few day flight stopover in Omanpart of Oman including, as they were interested, a fabric weaver in action.

The Music Man performers see Oman

Muscat’s Royal Opera House is currently hosting performances of the  Glimmerglass production of The Music Man. It was a pleasure to take groups of the performers to see some of Oman’s attractions.

Weaving in Oman

Oman still has a few traditional pit loom weavers and we enjoyed a visit to one. Using a mixture of locally made and foreign manufactured equipment they create lengths of cloth for garments worn in Oman.
